The Riazor Stadium, located in the city of A Coruña, is one of the most emblematic sports venues in Spain. Inaugurated on 28 October 1944, it is the official home of Real Club Deportivo de La Coruña. Over the years, it has been the scene of countless memorable matches, both in national and international competitions. It currently has a capacity of approximately 32,000 spectators and has been remodelled on several occasions to improve the comfort and safety of the public. It is located in a privileged setting next to Riazor Beach, which makes it a unique stadium due to its sea views and its proximity to one of the most emblematic areas of the city.
The stadium has fully covered stands, which protects spectators from the frequent rains in the region, and its structure has been adapted to comply with modern accessibility and safety regulations. Although its main activity is football, it has also hosted other sporting events, concerts and mass celebrations. In 1982, on the occasion of the FIFA World Cup, the stadium was remodelled to modernise its facilities. Later, in 1995, coinciding with Deportivo's "golden era", Riazor underwent another major renovation to bring it up to UEFA standards.
